#
Entries and tickets are used to track customer participation in PrizeSuite giveaways.
A customer may receive entries or ticket numbers depending on the giveaway rules and the campaign setup.
What is an entry? #
An entry represents a customer’s participation in a giveaway campaign.
Entries can be connected to customer actions such as eligible purchases or other campaign rules configured by the merchant.
What is a ticket? #
A ticket is a numbered giveaway entry.
Ticket numbers help merchants and customers identify participation clearly.
Customers may see their ticket numbers on the My Rewards page when the giveaway flow is connected to their customer account.
Entries vs tickets #
In simple terms:
- Entry means the customer participated.
- Ticket means the customer received a numbered giveaway chance.
Some campaigns may use one ticket per eligible action, while others may assign multiple tickets based on quantity, purchase value, or campaign settings.
Where tickets appear #
Ticket numbers may appear in:
- Participants
- My Rewards
- Giveaway history
- Winner selection
- Winner announcements
- Customer support checks
How ticket assignment works #
Ticket assignment depends on your giveaway settings.
PrizeSuite may assign tickets automatically after a valid customer action or purchase.
Depending on your setup, ticket assignment can be affected by:
- Campaign status
- Campaign dates
- Product or checkout flow
- Purchase eligibility
- Quantity rules
- Customer limits
- Ticket availability
- Instant win settings
Customer view #
Customers can view their giveaway activity from the My Rewards page when the page is set up and the customer is logged in.
Depending on your setup, customers may see:
- Giveaway name
- Ticket numbers
- Entry status
- Giveaway result
- Recent activity
Merchant review #
Merchants should use the Participants area to confirm entries and tickets before selecting winners.
Check:
- The correct giveaway is selected.
- Entries are connected to the correct customers.
- Ticket numbers look correct.
- Order-based entries are connected to eligible order activity.
- The campaign is ready for winner selection.
Common questions #
Why does a customer not see tickets? #
The customer may need to be logged in, the My Rewards page may need setup, or the entry may not be connected to the expected customer account.
Why is an entry missing? #
The related customer action or order may not have qualified, the order may not be paid yet, or the campaign rules may not have been met.
Can ticket numbers be reused? #
Ticket behavior depends on campaign rules and ticket status. Review the Participants and Winners areas before announcing results.
