Step 1: Open Referrals #
Inside PrizeSuite, go to:
Referrals
or open referral settings from the related Wallet and Modules area if your app layout shows it there.
Step 2: Review referral settings #
Before enabling referrals, review the available settings.
Depending on your setup, referral settings may include:
- Referral system status
- Referral reward type
- Referral reward amount
- Referral qualification rules
- Customer referral code behavior
- Referral activity tracking
- Customer-facing referral display
Step 3: Enable referrals #
Turn on referrals when you are ready for customers to share referral links or referral codes.
Save the settings after making changes.
Step 4: Choose the reward type #
Referral rewards may connect with PrizeSuite reward systems such as:
- Wallet rewards
- Points rewards
- Referral tracking
- Giveaway-related customer engagement
Choose the reward type that matches your campaign and customer experience.
Step 5: Test the referral flow #
Before promoting referrals publicly, test the flow:
- Log in as a customer.
- Open the My Rewards page.
- Find the referral section.
- Copy or use the referral link/code.
- Open the referral link in a separate browser or test session.
- Complete the required referral action.
- Confirm the referral activity appears in PrizeSuite admin.
- Confirm the reward is applied only when the referral rules are met.
Step 6: Review referral activity #
Use the Referrals area inside PrizeSuite to review referral activity.
Check:
- Referral codes
- Referring customers
- Referral status
- Reward status
- Referral history
- Customer activity
Recommended referral setup #
For a first referral setup, keep the reward simple.
Recommended setup order:
- Confirm My Rewards is working.
- Enable referrals.
- Choose a clear referral reward.
- Test with a customer account.
- Review referral activity in admin.
- Promote the referral program after testing.
Best practices #
For a clean referral program:
- Use clear reward rules.
- Avoid overly large rewards at the beginning.
- Test the full customer flow.
- Review referral activity regularly.
- Keep referral messaging simple.
- Watch for suspicious or repeated self-referral behavior.
Troubleshooting #
If referral activity does not appear:
- Confirm referrals are enabled.
- Confirm the customer is logged in.
- Confirm the referral link or code was used correctly.
- Confirm the referred customer completed the required action.
- Check whether the reward is pending or not yet qualified.
- Refresh My Rewards and the Referrals admin area.
