Settings – General

General Settings #

The General Settings page controls the core behavior of giveaway campaigns in PrizeSuite. From this page, administrators can enable giveaways, configure how giveaway pages appear in the store, define participation rules, and manage the giveaway lifecycle.

Giveaway Control #

Enable Giveaways #

Enables or disables the giveaway system across the entire site.

When enabled, giveaway campaigns can run normally and users can purchase tickets. If disabled, all giveaway participation and ticket purchasing will be blocked.

Pages & Routing #

This section controls how giveaways are displayed and organized within the WooCommerce store.

Giveaway Category #

Select the WooCommerce product category used to display giveaway campaigns.

This category archive can be used to create a dedicated page that lists all active giveaways.

Default Sorting on Giveaway Page #

Defines the default sorting method used when displaying giveaways on the giveaway category page.

Example sorting options may include:

  • Newest
  • Oldest
  • Ending Soon

Hide Giveaway Products on Shop Page #

When enabled, giveaway products will be hidden from the default WooCommerce shop page.

This allows administrators to keep giveaways on a dedicated giveaway page instead of mixing them with normal store products.

Hide Finished Giveaways on Shop Page #

Hides completed or finished giveaway campaigns from the shop page.

This includes giveaways that are:

  • Ended
  • Sold out
  • Winner announced

Participation Rules #

Participation rules control how users are allowed to enter giveaways.

Allow Guest Participation #

Allows visitors who are not logged in to participate in giveaway campaigns.

If disabled, users must create an account or log in before purchasing giveaway tickets.

Require Login Before Purchase #

Forces users to log in before they can purchase giveaway entries.

This helps ensure all entries are linked to a verified user account.

Giveaway Lifecycle #

Lifecycle settings control how giveaways behave as they progress and complete.

Auto-Close When Sold Out #

Automatically closes a giveaway campaign when all available tickets have been sold.

This prevents additional entries once the maximum ticket limit has been reached.

Lock Edits After Draw #

Prevents administrators from editing critical giveaway fields after winners have been selected.

This helps maintain data integrity and ensures the fairness of completed campaigns.

Saving Changes #

After modifying settings, click Save Changes to apply the configuration.

Changes will affect how future giveaways behave across the site.
