Settings

Referral Settings #

The Referral Settings page allows administrators to configure how the referral program works in PrizeSuite. From this page you can enable the referral system, define reward triggers, configure commission rates, and control payout behavior.

The settings are organized into several sections:

  • General
  • Reward Rules
  • Eligibility & Limits
  • Payout Behavior

General Settings #

Enable Referrals #

Turn the referral program on or off for your store. When enabled, users can generate referral links and earn rewards when their referrals perform qualifying actions.

Referral Code Format #

Defines how referral codes are generated for users. Typically, a referral code is automatically generated based on the user’s username or another identifier.

Allow Self-Referral #

Allows users to earn rewards by referring themselves. This option is generally disabled to prevent abuse of the referral system.

Admin Adjust User #

Allows administrators to manually adjust referral relationships when necessary. This can be useful for correcting referral attribution or handling special cases.

Reward Rules #

Reward rules define when referral rewards are generated and how the reward amount is calculated.

Reward Trigger #

Defines the event that triggers a referral reward.

  • On registration — Reward is issued when a referred user registers an account.
  • On first wallet top-up — Reward is issued when the referred user performs their first wallet top-up.
  • On every wallet top-up — Reward is issued each time the referred user performs a wallet top-up.

Reward Type #

Determines how the reward amount is calculated.

  • Percentage of wallet top-up — The referrer receives a percentage of the referred user’s wallet top-up.

Referral Commission Percentage #

The percentage of the referred user’s wallet top-up that will be rewarded to the referrer.

Example: If the commission rate is 10% and the referred user tops up $100, the referrer will receive $10.

Eligibility & Limits #

These settings control the conditions that must be met before referral rewards are issued.

Minimum Wallet Top-Up Amount #

Defines the minimum wallet top-up amount required before a referral reward is triggered.

Example: If the minimum is set to $5, rewards will only be issued for top-ups greater than or equal to $5.

Max Rewards Per Referred User #

Limits how many rewards a referrer can earn from a single referred user.

Example: If set to 3, the referrer can earn rewards from that user only three times.

Reward Cooldown (hours) #

Defines a cooldown period between referral rewards generated by the same referred user.

This helps prevent abuse by limiting how frequently rewards can be triggered.

Payout Behavior #

This section controls how referral rewards are paid to referrers.

Payout Method #

  • Instant credit (wallet) — Referral rewards are immediately credited to the referrer’s wallet.
  • Pending approval (admin review) — Rewards are recorded but require administrator approval before being credited.

Saving Referral Settings #

After modifying referral settings, click Save Settings to apply the changes.

Once enabled and configured, the referral system will automatically track referrals and issue rewards according to the rules defined in this page.
